MGM announced they will go ahead with a "Poltergeist" remake. Did you want a remake or continuation?

The script has been written and is now being reworked by Juliet Snowden and Stiles White. MGM decided upon a remake of the "Poltergeist" 1982 film instead of a continuation. Did you want a remake or a part 4?

A remake would almost make more sense considering that Heather O'Rourke is deceased and the rest of the actors have aged over the past 26 years.

that movie was perfect as it is, it doesn't need a sequel or a remake.  let hollywood come up with new original exciting ideas rather than try to remake classics

Neither.  The sequels stunk, and if anyone thinks he can outdo Spielberg's original version--well, let's just say you won't be seeing me in line to buy a ticket.
