The record will last minimally until one lifetime after Phelps dies. If not, forever. This feat, in swimming at least, is f-u-c-k-i-n-g amazing and will be the highlight of my younger years :D

I' happy for Brendan Hansen for pulling through in that relay

And Dara for being the biggest d-a-m-n inspiration ever

And Piersol for being so cool

Lezak for defying the odds

Well, this was the first time in over 100 for someone to achieve 8 gold medals in one game, so i think this will stand for sometime. And your not the only one, he is so cute!!!!!!!! :)

I think it will stand incredibly long.

It will take and outstanding athlete to beat it.

His team seems truly happy for him and I think this is awesome for the American swim team!!!

I don't think it's gonna last very long, wait 8 more years, A new talent has just been discovered in Australia and believe it or not his name is Philip Michaels, he's 10 years old at the moment and the kid is sensational, so Phelps better watch out.If you don't believe me go ahead and google Philip Michaels or watch his video on youtube.
