Question:

MIND OF MEN: "Baby Mama Drama"...Serious Inquiries Only...?

Me and a (guy) friend of mine were having a discussion on how a man (married or single) could leave his pregnant fiance/girlfriend/wife (whoever) for another woman...I am pretty open minded and sometimes have the mindset of a man, yet this one was really hard for me to grasp. I definetly dont judge anyone (especially if I dont know the situation) but how is it (or how does it seem) like it is so easy for a man to leave a "baby mama" for another woman (you can even say if he even truly falls in love with another woman)...I am very curious on this one! (case in point Tom Brady and Giselle Bundchen)

  1. To really give THE answer, I'd have to know the two people involved. However, I can think of a few reasons. First of all, not every pregnancy is planned or wanted by both people involved. The 'relationship' may not have ever been 'serious.' Certainly s*x happens often enough between people who aren't in love, and there are plenty of pregnancies in such circumstances. Then there are cases where the man is just an irresponsible jerk. If it was the man who was pregnant, I think we'd see women  dumping their boyfriends as well.

But it is true that men are often less responsible than women as far as children are concerned. For every single father with kids at home there are probably 20 single mothers. Is there a maternal instinct or is it all socially conditioned, or is it a combination? My opinion is that it's a combination, but I am sure there are those who would disagree with me on either side.

  2. Moms and dads are two very different things. Having a child grow in you and a womans maternal instinct are things that cannot be re-created. Men also are typically short-game kind of people. As where women see things in the long run. Emotional ties do not run nearly as deep in men. So with that, men in a way figure it'll work itself out and rely on current emotions rather than the long term ones
