Question:

MIP On Tribal Land Affecting Probation?

I received an MIP (minor in possession) last weekend while at an indian casino on tribal land (long story but i was called to the front desk to identify someone who had lost his I.D. and was arrest. Biggest joke in my life.) Anyway i am on probation from a prior MIP and was talking with some indian members who were in jail and they told me that tribal court governs themselves and that tribal court wouldn't contact the state about me receiving a MIP on tribal land. Is this true or does that only apply to tribal members. I was in Mount Pleasant, MI at the soaring eagle casino which is run by the Saginaw Chippewa Tribe of Michigan if that is of any importance. Thanks

  1. It doesn't look like you can stay out of trouble, does it?  I wouldn't worry about it too much because if they don't get you on this one, I'm sure there will be plenty of opportunities for you to get a good record going.

How about you try to stay out of trouble & then you won't have to worry about it?
