MITOCHONDRIA and homeostasis?

  1. Cellular respiration (most of it) takes place in the mitochondria. In a nutshell carbon dioxide and glucose enters the system and ATP and oxygen exit it. This process keeps your body going. Without cellular respiration your body couldn't maintain a constant temperature, replace hormones, repair damaged tissue, cause nerves to fire etc. .


  2. almost every body part is related. i am not a biology major but as far as i know, mitochondria is a cell organel that is powerhouse and produces energy and homeostasis is related to keeping the body balance (temperature). i think energy is somehow related to maintaining the body temperature. i might b wrong. ;)
