MLB 08 THE SHOW PROBLEM?

HERES WHAT HAPPENS:

1 I CONNECT TO MY INTERNET(NO PROBLEM)

2 I AGREE TO THE SCEA USAGE POLICY(NO PROBLEM)

3 I CLICK ON MY ACCOUNT(NO PROBLEM)

!4! IT ASKS IF I WANT TO UPDATE MY ROSTER FILE I PRESS NO

5 THEN THE SCREEN IS SUPPOSED TO SHOW THE RECENT PLAYER CHANGES NEVER POPS UP AND MY SCREEN FREEZES FOR 23 SECONDS THEN TURNS OFF(PROBLEM)

THIS IS ON SPORTS CONNECT AND I WAS PREVIOUSLY ABLE T GO AND PLAY NO PROBLEM.

ALSO WHEN IT ASKS YOU TO UPDATE THE ROSTERS I HAVE PRESSED YES BUT THE SAME THING STILL HAPPENS

CAN SOMEBODY TELL ME WHAT THE PROBLEM IS!!!

Everyone is having this problem.  Happened monday night, nobody can get on with existing accounts.  The only way to get on right now is to make a new account, you will be able to log on the first time, but once you log out, you wont be able to get in again, it will freeze.  Some glitch in their roster update they did monday, now the game freezes when you get to where it lists the new roster updates, after you decline or accept to save the roster changes.

Hopefully the get it fixed soon, we are all very irritated by this

What irritates me more is that many of the people have called Sony, even though its not really thier fault, but Sony was telling everyone it was their playstation that is to blame, but if you use a new account to logon, you will see that everyone has this problem and we are all on there btchin about it.  When it happened I even went out and bought another version of the game because I thought I had scratched or burned mine, what a waste of money!  I am pssd!

I'm having the same problem.  I've been searching the internet for any mention of the problem, and yours is the 1st post I've been able to find about it.  This puts my mind at ease that it isn't a hardware problem on my end.  I just wanted to post this response so that you knew that your hardware isn't the problem, either.  So this means that the server is down.
