ummm what ever the game tells you to do but if you want to break the HR record POWER!I broke cy youngs win record with 595 carreer wins

It really depends what you want to do.  Hit for power? Hit for high average?  or all around?  I found that enhancing your contact first and your speed with baserunning will get you a high On base percentage THEN u can accumulate more attribute points so you can improve your power in the long run.  This overall will make you a better player quickly.

I am in my 1st full year in MLB shortstop for Angels and I am batting .460 with 38 hr and 140 rbi and 170 sb.  also my overall is A contact is A power is A fielding is B speed is B and potential A.  hope this helps

become the next ichiro, getting 3000 hits is way better thean gettin 500 or 600 HR, especially when u can bat .400 or have 263 hits a year
