MLB All-Star game rosters announced
The MLB All-Star game has been a major talking point in baseball because of the fact that it is a meaningful game and yet it is played like an exhibition.
Having the All-Star game decide home-field advantage in the World Series, for some is something that should never have been implemented, but as it stands that is the case and it’s up to the fans to decide who starts the game.
Yesterday the line-ups were announced and as usual there are the usual familiar faces, but also some first timers in there.

Joe Mauer was the leading vote getter this year colleting 5,372,606 votes, the third-highest total of all time. That trails only the 6,079,688 Ken Griffey Jr. received in 1994 and the 5,397,374 Albert Pujols got for last year's All-Star game.
Pitchers are selected by the managers of each team, Joe Girardi for the American League and Charlie Manuel for the Philadelphia Phillies, and it will be up to the two select who is the starting pitcher.
