  1. Without living thee it is hard to say but do the Panthers, bobcats and Hurricanes draw a good crowd?  NC seems very college basketball oriented.  Same as where I live in CT.  UCONN is life here.  The NHL Whalers didn't survive but every UConn game gets sold out.  Not sure about MLB there.

  2. Disagree.

Not a big enough market. What's the capital of North Carolina  (for those that don't live in NC)??

Exactly. Not a big enough market. If they can establish a very good minors league, like the West coast has the PCL, then maybe their can be a demand.

  3. As stated the market isn't big enough, plus you have how many minor league teams in NC. Granted minors is not majors, but the point is that the market is too small.

The biggest population for NC is Charlotte, yet baseball isn't "huge" there as it is in other areas and the Braves are cloe by. The capital, Raleigh just doesn't have the full damand needed by a smaller city for a major league club.

The truth is, although in the middle of ACC country where NC State and UNC have great college teams teams, Basketball and Football will always be number 1 and number 2 in North Carolina. Baseball is 3rd, and maybe 4th with the Hurricanes recent success in NHL.

  4. Would anyone go see them? No one goes to Panther games anymore. At least if MLB did come to NC, the Braves and Reds would take a back seat.

  5. no, I think they should leave it as is because it will change the league to much

  6. nah. i agree with p415b.

i dont know the capital of NC... sorry

  7. Disagree. To me, Charlotte isn't big enough to support baseball and the only baseball squad that matters there is UNC. I'm sure most folks there are Braves fans and maybe O's fans.

And the capital of North Carolina is Raleigh. Hardly a major city.

  8. i think there should. and there should be teams in many other places too.

  9. i agree,   kansas city is a bad city for baseball, they should move the royals to north carolina.

  10. yes if u think about it, UNC TARHEELS are one of the best baseball programs in the country, they deserve an MLB Team

  11. i mean the Marlins/Royals are tanking as far as attendance goes but i think the MLB has other areas where they would rather put an MLB team, in markets that would get alot of attention, like Indianapolis or Las Vegas

something about Raleigh/Durham doesnt seem like it would interest the MLB too much
