Game 1 – September 26: Boston Red Sox 3 – Baltimore Orioles 6

In the second game, Red Sox outclassed the Orioles 8-7. Red Sox starter, Erik Bedard threw the ball in right line as he pitched just over three innings and permitted just five hits with an ERA of 3.62. Bedard struck-out six batters on his 84 pitches.
Speaking to interpreters, David Ortiz said, “Everybody's been watching the scoreboard and knowing that we need to win tonight so we can come back (Wednesday).”
Orioles’ batters struggled but they remained one-run short at the end of the game. Zach Britton had a shaky day with the ball as he pitched just over four innings with an ERA of 4.61 and permitted seven hits, five runs, five earned runs and two home-runs
on his 84 pitches.
Game 3 – September 28: Boston Red Sox 3 – Baltimore Orioles 4
During the final game of the series, Red Sox lost 4-3. Orioles’ short-stop J.J. Hardy shined as he hit two RBIs and went 2-for-3 with an average of .269. Red Sox manager, Terry Francona said, “We're not very happy right now.”
Red Sox batters added only three runs in the series decider. Dustin Pedroia, Marco Scutaro and Mike Aviles each singled to put in three runs for Boston on the score-board. The Orioles put in a brilliant performance as they fought hard throughout the game
to get an important win over the powerful Red Sox. A decisive group effort gave Baltimore the series win.
