record during the season.
Let us take an outline of these four thrilling games.
Game 1– March 31: Los Angeles Angels 4 – Kansas City Royals 2
Angels managed a 4-2 win in the first game, as Jered Weaver was notable with his pitching. He had six strike-outs and threw just over six innings to give the Angels an impressive victory. Weaver said, “I just tried to keep people off the basepaths as much
as possible. It's obviously nerve-racking the first time out.”
On the other hand, Royals were able to put in only two runs. Luke Hochevar pitched well for the Royals but that was not enough to steal a win for his team. He was able to strike-out just five batters during his 102 pitches and gave away nine hits, four runs
and three earned runs with an ERA of 4.76.
