MLB Round up: Los Angeles Dodgers defeat San Francisco Giants 3-1 in four-game series
National League’s San Francisco Giants and Los Angeles Dodgers both went head-to-head in an electrifying four-game series. Dodgers did a miraculous job as they crushed the Giants 3-1 in this series. Dodgers have had a great season so far as they maintained
their Win-Loss record during the spring training season.
Let us take a concise review of these four thrillers.
Game 1– March 31: San Francisco Giants 1 – Los Angeles Dodgers 2

Dodgers managed a 2-1 win in the first game, as Clayton Kershaw was notable with his pitching. He had nine strike-outs on his 96 pitches. Kershaw threw his respective seven innings to give the Dodgers an impressive victory. Kershaw said, “I'm glad I got
the opportunity to do it, keep getting better. If you don't get better, you'll get worse.”
On the other side, Giants were able to put in just one run in the entire game. Tim Lincecum pitched well for the Giants but that was not enough to steal a win for his team. He struck-out only five batters during his 103 pitches and gave away three walks,
five hits, one run and no earned run.
Game 2 – April 1: San Francisco Giants 3 – Los Angeles Dodgers 4
In the second game, Dodgers outclassed the Giants 4-3. Dodgers’ starter, Chad Billingsley threw the ball in perfect line as he threw six innings and permitted just one walk, five hits and three runs with an ERA of 4.50. Billingsley had four strike-outs on
his 93 pitches.
Giants’ Pablo Sandoval, Brandon Belt and Buster Posey completed three runs jointly for their team to reduce the lead. Jonathan Sanchez had a shaky day with the ball as he threw just over five innings with an ERA of 3.18 and permitted seven hits, four runs,
three walks and two earned runs on his 97 pitches.
Game 3 – April 2: San Francisco Giants 10 – Los Angeles Dodgers 0
During third game of the series, Dodgers lost 10-0. Giants’ second baseman Freddy Sanchez shined as he hit triple RBIs and went 3-for-4 with an average of .455. Dodgers’ manager, Don Mattingly said, “He's always been tough, but it seems like over the last
couple of years, he's been using more of his pitches and he's turned into a handful.”
Dodgers’ batters were outshined by the tricky throws of the Giants' pitchers and they failed to score runs.
Game 4 – April 3: San Francisco Giants 5 – Los Angeles Dodgers 7
Dodgers won the series finale 7-5 as the batters and pitchers both executed well in their individual disciplines. As a result, the Dodgers enhanced their Win-Loss record by defeating the Giants in the four-game series.
