MLB Season Review: Kansas City Royals crush Minnesota Twins 3-0 in three-game series
American League’s Kansas City Royals and Minnesota Twins fought it out in a thrilling three game series. Royals were incredible and did a remarkable job as they sealed a 3-0 victory in the series after beating the Twins comfortably.

Game 1 – April 29: Minnesota Twins 3 – Kansas City Royals 4
Royals directed a 4-3 win in the first game, as Bruce Chen was impressive with his pitching. He had only one strike-out with an ERA of 4.04 in the Royals convincing victory. Royals’ manager, Ned Yost said, “All the years I've coached, managed and played

During the second game, Royals overcome the Twins 11-2. Royals’ starter, Sean O’Sullivan threw the ball in good line as he pitched six innings and surrendered just two runs and two hits on his 104 pitches. O’Sullivan had three strike-outs with an ERA of
3.43.
Twins struggled with the bat and scored just two runs until the end of the game. Brian Duensing had a shaky day with the ball as he threw seven innings with an ERA of 2.91 and gave away eight hits, three runs, two walks, one homer and two earned runs on
his 99 pitches.
Game 3 – May 1: Minnesota Twins 3 – Kansas City Royals 10
During the final game of the series, Twins lost 10-3. Royals’ second baseman Mike Aviles shined as he completed two runs including four RBIs and went 3-for-5 with an average of .250. Royals’ starter, Luke Hochevar pitched just over six innings and allowed
five hits, three runs and three earned runs including one strike-out.
Aviles said, “I was never worried. Maybe other people were worried. I know what I'm capable of doing at this level. I know I can help the team win.”
Twins were able to contribute only three runs in the series finale and failed to avoid a clean sweep against the Royals. Carl Pavano pitched just over five innings and gave away seven runs, 12 hits, six earned runs and one home-run on his 88 pitches. However,
a brilliant team effort kept the Royals on top against the Twins throughout the series.
