As Spring Training is just a few days way, all the teams are getting set to test their line-ups, theories, rotations and of course new players. When it comes to preparing, no team in the League does it better than the New York Yankees.
The Yankees are known for their hard work and consistent practice during the work-out sessions. There is a reason behind the tremendous success that the Yankees have achieved over the years. This reason being their total professionalism on the field. They
not only command respect but are also the envy of many teams in the League. Their tremendous work ethic is unmatched in Major League Baseball.
Many critics feel that the Yankees have tons of money and can quite literally buy the best players and come out with a team that can easily cruise to the World Series. Although this could have some truth in it, but at the end of the day, the players are
the ones that have to stay healthy and win. The Yankees have some of the most talented players in the League with the likes of Derek Jeter and slugger Alex Rodriguez. Players like these are capable of turning a game upside down if they get into form. Nobody
doubts the Yankees talent and baseball prowess.
However, this year some big moves were made that caused the Yankees to take notice. Players like Albert Pujols and Prince Fielder signed some mega contracts and the American League got a definite boost in talent. The Yankees know that this year the Los Angeles
Angels and the Detroit Tigers will be very competitive going into Spring Training.
For the Yankees, their hard work and dedication on the field can compensate for any misgivings the fans might have before the start of the 2012 Major League Baseball regular season. The team works very hard for that reason. Always keeping their focus for
potential postseason play, the Yankees are a tough nut to crack. The team, when firing on all cylinders, has the capability to do magic on the baseball field. The fans, critics and most importantly the other teams in the League know this.
Most offseason moves in the American League are done by other teams to counter the Yankees tremendous depth and talent base. Don’t get me wrong, the Yankees can get rattled and lose focus, but the chances of that happening is usually quite slim. Players
like Jeter and Rodriguez are tremendous athletes. There is a reason as to why these players earn the amounts that they do. Their past records and accolades speak for themselves.
The New York Yankees will want to get a good start during Spring Training. The team understands the importance of these games, especially to get some much needed game time for their younger players. For the veterans, Spring Training offers a glimpse of what
the Yankees will be facing throughout the arduous regular season.
Winning is nothing new to the Yankees, just as working hard and staying focused is a part of life for the team. It will be no surprise to see the Yankees dominate Spring Training and make a serious impact during the regular season. As the American League
has become very competitive this year, it will be very interesting to see how well the Yankees can carry on with their winning momentum and take charge of their Division. The fans not only want it, they expect it.
