Question:

MLB rules CC Sabathia does indeed have a one hitter?

I kind of thought the whole "Bob Webb stole our NO Hitter" would spark the Brewers but instead they haven't won a game since. 2day MLB agreed w/ the call & it stands as a hit.

Was this the final nail in the coffin? Can we expect another 3 games before the Brewers win OR will the Brewers finally realize a win is a win & move on?

  1. That sucks... If I was the official scorekeeper I would have called it an error in the first place... And there would be no need for official review.

    But a win's a win, whether he got a no-hitter or a one-hitter.

  2. It doesn't surprise me that MLB didn't intervene and call it an error. The official scorer made his ruling and had a good explanation for it. Therefore, it should stand as a hit...

  3. I think that was the right call had it been any other fielder that's an error but i think if the pitcher doesn't make the play it's a hit

  4. IS it me or is CC Sabathia almost crying out,"Hey let the fault be mines.  I want that play to be exonerated from being hit due to my incompotance to field the ball".

Dude, you got a complete game shutout.  You got 12 batters outs before that "hit", you werent even half way there.  Many things could of happened between then and the end of the game. Who knows CC mite have even lost the game.  Move on, CC. You're better than that.

  5. I don't think this effect lingers. It's just an excuse

  6. I don't agree with the call, but it still was a win and time to take the win and move on.  Don't give up!

  7. Oh well

    Whats for dinner?

  8. I don't care. The Brewers need to shut up and stop whining or else they might recieve a timeout from MLB. I'm a cubs fan. BREWERS SUCK!!!!!!!!!!

  9. Man i totally agree with you. they shouldve took what they got, the win, and been happy with it, But no, they had to complain about not having the no hitter. But who knows how he would've pitched knowing he had a no hitter the rest of the game? I agree with the call from MLB

  10. well no i beleave that th ebrewers are going to win.  the fact that cc sabathia only got a one hitter would not down them.  C.C. sabathia said in a sportscenter report.  so cc how do you feel that you did not got a no hitter? "i feel the same as long as we got the win thats the most important thing".  what if they overturned the call how would you feel then?  "the same as i do know all that matters is that we win".

so no they still have the chance and will be there in october.

yes the brewers and i proved it or at least that is how cc feels.

  11. Bob Webb has 20 years experience as a scorekeeper and I'm not saying he has never been wrong in his career, but he wouldn't still be one if he took his job lightly. CC did not make a big deal of the "hit", his manager Ned Yost did. It is time for the Brewers to move on and if they cannot get over the fact that it was ruled a hit, then you can stick a fork in them. To dwell on one game--a win at that--is jus plain stupid!
