Major League Soccer All-Stars squad was humbled by Barclays Premier League champions, Manchester United, on July 27, but Thierry Henry still managed to impress on the pitch. The former Arsenal striker was singled out by both Sir Alex Ferguson and Hans Backe
in the post-match press conference.
“Thierry Henry showed that change of pace,” Ferguson said. “He’s still a great threat.”
Though the All-Stars lost the match 4-0 to the Barclays Premier League guests, the Frenchman exhibited all the traits – in the first half in particular – that have made him a legend of the sport.
