The MLS side’s chairman admitted that the club was in talks with Stoke City regarding the central defender, but confirmed that no official offer had been made as yet. According to Canetti, the deal could take some time before it went through.
He believed that while http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Tony-c35440 Pulis’ side were definitely interested, they had not yet decided if they wanted to make the signing this season or the next. Canetti felt that while talks had begun, it could be a while before an actual deal could be concluded.
Canetti said in an interview:
“I would say some dialogue has opened up in terms of what it might take to get it done. We haven't made an official offer. They haven't made an official. I don't know how serious they are or if they're just kicking the tires. Right now there's just initial
dialogue that's starting up.”
Along with the English Premier League, Cameron has attracted interest from the La Liga and the German Bundesliga, more specifically Schalke 04. The German outfit are reportedly keen on signing the 26-year-old defender and could prove to be competition for
Stoke City.
The player himself has revealed he is open to a move to the English Premier League and claimed that he felt he would love England. His future will be decided in the upcoming weeks and it seems highly likely that the American defender could find himself in
the English Premier League next season.
Cameron said:
“I wouldn't mind http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/England-c749. I've always wanted to play there. I'm not going to be picky. I would love England. I think just overall the soccer there and the fan experience and just everything in general would be great.”
Cameron began his career with Rhode Island Stingrays in 2005 and went on to play for the side up until 2007. He moved to http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Houston-Dynamo-c39542 in 2008 and has gone on to make 111 appearances in the Major League Soccer up until now, along with scoring 11 goals.
