so it looks like lessners for real, going by the way he destroyed herring saturday night.

but is it just me or did he seem to have no respect for the other fighter the way he swung his arm in the air before the fight was over and smiled at herring as if to mock him. he may be for real but as far as im concerned i hope he gets his head kicked in after that display, what a W A N K E R.

  1. Brock will need to watch that in the future, but he got his first win in the UFC and i am sure he couldnt help himself as he was probably very excited to prove the naysayers wrong!

Herring and his camp really talked some smack about him not being in Herrings league, that Herring beat Kongo and was above Lesnar.

I am sure Lesnar was aware of all this and really wanted to show everyone he was for real.

He really needs to work on actually pulling off some moves though on the ground.  No hooks in the entire time, just sheer body mass and strength was enough to keep Herring down.  Someone with a better ground game will be able to handle Brock a bit better.

What a great start to his career though.  It was like a video game punch that he loaded up on Herring. haha

  2. Lesnar is a disrespectful WANKER. You got that right. Heath Herring hasn't looked worth a c**p in any of his fights so far... and big bad Lesnar couldn't finish him??? Not too impressive. Then hopping around like a grade school kid on recess... real mature. I hope Lesnar gets his head bashed in soon. And Frank Mir should have broke his leg when he had the chance. Guys like Lesnar will take The UFC and MMA as a whole back to dark ages. It's been a totally uphill struggle to get this sport recognized as more than a barbaric beating... Lesnar acting like a moron will give the sport that stigma back.  We'll see how well lesnar does when he has to maintain all that muscle for a long period time while he's off the 'roids.

  3. I think Lesnar's actions were in response to all the smack Herring talked before the fight.  Prior to the fight, Lesnar was respectful.

  4. Yeah, his actions after the fight didn't show any class.  BUT:

GSP- Has breakdanced and done flips after victories.

Tito Ortiz- flash both middle fingers at opponents after victories, mockingly digs their grave, and even wore shirts saying Guy Mezger is my B****.

Anderson Silva- donned a Michael Jackson uniform and did a moonwalk after KO'ing Carlos Newton.  He has done plenty of dances in the UFC.

Gonzaga, Barnett and numerous others- throat slashing gesture, that isn't nice.

  5. i agree with sixstring......herring was talkin mad garbage before the fight and i think he got exactly what he deserved....and trust me lesnar WILL get his head kicked in before too long. hes not very polished yet and a good heavywieght with good striking capabilities and good ground game will get the best of in one of these fights......especially if you have bigger guy similar in size to lesnar that is a versed striker......

  6. As someone who followed Lesnar's pro wrestling career, it's common knowledge that Lesnar's a complete d*** ( and no, I'm not a gullible fan talking about his in-ring persona). I doubt most of his fans care, though- they like seeing a huge man pound guys smaller than him, so I doubt things like discipline and respect are on their minds. I actually ordered that PPV earlier this year (can't remember which one it was) solely to watch Mir submit Lesnar. He is looking extremely impressive, though, and even I can't deny that.

Herring may have talked trash or whatever, but Lesnar was the one who said he would come in and win the world title with ease. You don't disrespect a company and its world championship like that. I'm still glad that Mir made him a tad more humble, though obviously not much.

  7. Lesnar did a horrible job on the ground. He just layed there. If he was good he would have finished the fight. He should have been docked points anyway for the hits to the back of the head and the knees to the middle of the back. The way he ended the fight was totally classless. I mean the clock hadn't even run out and he was celebrating. I can't wait till he fight an upper echelon fighter and gets his *** kicked. EDIT: Daniel. I was paying attention to the fight. That's why I noticed the illegal blows. Maybe you should just go back to watching wrestling, since you don't know anything about MMA. I have been to more live fights than you have even thought about watching on TV. I know more than you so shut up. If Brock was as good as he and you claim he would have ended that fight. But he couldn't because he sucks. He never even put his hooks in once. He just layed there.

  8. I agree that the trash talking is encouraged before the fight and you can understand why, it does help to promote the fight and get the fans into it more. In Brock's case with the time he spent in the WWE it amy carry over with him a little more than it does with others. I don't think he really did anything that I would call out of hand or over the top. I think he may have been trying to get to Heath a bit, but I think they have been running their mouths at each other for a while. I don't particularly care for that kind of behavior and yes you should squash whatever pre-fight hype may have built up and show respect towards your opponent once the fight is done, but this was also a big win and his first win in the UFC for Brock and I think he may have just gotten a little bit caught up in the moment. A lot of wrestlers also aren't brought up in their sport with that kind of respect being shown towards opponents and what not. Of all the post fight foolishness that has occured in the UFC a large portion of it has come from wrestlers. I'm not trying to say that there is anything wrong with wrestling, Randy Couture was a great collegiate and amateur wrestler and he has always been very respectful, but they don't have that respect for your opponent built into the sport the same way as that concept is a basic part of martial arts. We've had Mark Coleman acting a fool after fights he has lost his buddy Kevin Randleman has acted a fool after a few of his fights their "student" Wes Sims has acted a fool before during and after fights. Melvin Guilard has acted a fool before during and after fights, again I don't think it has to do with wrestling, I think it has to do with how some of them were brought up in their sport just like all these basketball player's that act like they hate everybody on the other team and talk trash before during and after games and run each other down in interviews and c**p. I think it is all pretty stupid and petty in the extreme, but that is also a sign of how they were coached or taught. I have done a lot of traditional martial arts and started very young, so for me personally it would be right on the borderline of unthinkable to do some of this stuff, but that was how I was brought up and obviously a lot of these guys weren't.

I know I am most likely ticking some wrestlers off by saying this, but I'm am just pointing out facts. Mark and Kevin seem to have gotten their act together in recent years and thankfully I haven't seen Sims around for a while, but the hammer house used to kind of have that reputation. Thankfully they seem to have gotten it straightened out. I like Coleman and Randleman, but their view was so far off from mine it used to really aggrevateme, but again it is a difference of how you are brought into it.

  9. yeah i agree with you i thought it was disrespectful.

  10. Brock was upset for two reasons: 1.) Fans, Analysts, other fighters were all comparing him to Kimbo... saying he wasn't a real fighter. 2.) Herring's camp had a meeting with Dana about how Herring was upset that someone of his caliber had to fight Lesnar who didn't deserve to be in the ring with him.

Brock was happy that he proved everybody wrong and was excited that he proved himself against such a great opponent. I agree totally that Brock will need to work on being more humble... I tend to think the whole WWE being a "heel" may still be part of him. But if he wants to win new fans he will need to be more respectfully but new fighters probably at first are always a little full of themselves in the beginning.

  11. all you haters are truely unbelievable ...after beating mir up right up to the point he got submitted, all you had to say was how much of a joke brock is. he shouldnt be in mma. despite the fact that he is an mma amatuer! trained, worked hard and recruited top trainers he takes on a guy in heath herring that everyone says is a truely dangerous fighter for brock. all his experience..he even said he fought bigger, stronger and more accomplished wrestlers. ha ! i doubt that herring ever fought someone with the size, strength, quickness and athletism that brock possess. he has trained very hard and is still learning mma. herring got rocked ! brock had a game plan as all fighters do and until something in any fight changes they stick with that plan. give him props..he will dominate the hw division with some more experience. has far as his antics...it just shows his inexperience..he will learn and maybe the hardway but he is dedicated to the sport of that there is no question.

One point to make to THEPOOSYPUNISHA....when he fights a bigger guy with similar size ?? whats that ?

and to JACK SKELINGTON...never during the fight did the ref ever warn brock of any illegal hits or knees nor did MIKE or Joe mention any...pay attention to what you watch ..s*****k

  12. I think we have anther Tito on our hands!

  13. brock lessner won because he was able to sit on the guy basicly and beat his face in because he out weighed the guy
