  1. I don't think that will happen with MMA( at least in the US anyway). alot of reputable orgs put on fights under the watchful eye of athletic commissions. if an AC finds out a fight is fixed, that can shut the promotion down and suspend participants for a very long time.

Pro Wrestling in the US is "sports entertainment" and not sanctioned by athletic commissions, so they can do whatever they want, because it's not a fight - it's a "product" they sell.it kinda operates like a circus in that they have to follow all the basic labor laws but everything is rehearsed before hand.

In the past, AC's did not watch boxing or MMA matches pretty closely for fixes, but that's probably changed because of the moderate use of steroids in boxing/MMA and the negative media it brings to a promotion.

  2. vinny mac isn't a fight promoter. he runs an entertainment business.but he is the best at sports entertainment. you are thinking about the bad rep that boxing has developed through some of it's bad years. it could happen in mma though, there's lots of money to be made.

  3. I don't think so.  The states that have approved it are watching it very closely and MMA on the professional level is making the promoters some money.  It would be a foolish risk for any promoter to take as he would lose his license for a very long time if not permanently if he got caught.

  4. not likely since one pro wretslign was entertiament before vince mcmahon got invloved plus 2 fixing pro fights prize fights is a crime thats gets in to some preety heavy stuff
