what are some good ways to train for MMA fighting?

  1. yes there is one GREAT way to train for a mma fight. Go to a mma gym. mma is a sport. I am a traditional martial artist and mma fighter. mma fighters are athletes. if you stop in to the ring/cage with out the athletic training you will get stomped. I tried it once and it was a lesson not forgotten


  2. start by taking kickboxing or muay thai and jujitsu. so you need to work on your punches, kicks and ground work. take a dummy or bag and just hit that. start with jabs then do jab cross. after that go to your kicks. once you got your stad up down find someone to roll with and practice your jujitsu or ground work. practice takedowns shoots spraws and submissions. later on when youv acoplished all of that put it together and find someone to spar with. good luck.

Simply put, find an MMA gym.  If one is not nearby, find a Brazilian Jiu Jitsu or Muay Thai (note:  not American Kickboxing) school.  If you are in junior high or high school, join the wrestling team.  All three arts I listed are bases for many MMA fighters and are invaluable to an fighter's repertoire.
