MMA gets a boost in Delaware; Brad Dalton’s Stellar Fights give MMA fans what they want – MMA News
The Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) has been an ever growing business. Apart from the efforts which UFC management and officials are making in to spread UFC’s name in wide across places, the mixed martial arts (MMA) fighters
themselves are also giving their best shot in working for the growth of MMA.
Although MMA has a very controversial fighting style, it is still a popular combat sport among the teens and young fighters or those who want to adopt the sport as a profession. One such MMA enthusiast is Brad Dalton. A residence
of Delaware, located at the Atlantic Coast in the United States of America, has been an MMA aficionado for years.
Dalton completed his graduation from Sussex Central High and played football for his university’s team. He had an athletic mind from an early age and took part in various sports. When he came across MMA, his life changed as he
became a fan of the MMA.
Once Dalton found his true calling in MMA, he started venturing into the combat sport. He got his early training in MMA and combat sports in Salisbury, Maryland. His journey towards MMA was halted briefly after the MMA promoter
he was working with shifted to another city. This was the moment when Dalton thought it was time to arrange his own promotion and enter the world of MMA as a promoter.
This was the time when Dalton established his own MMA promotion by the name of Stellar Fights. Dalton had his first event in November 2010 where Cheron Gregory, nicknamed Fire Fighter was featured in the event. For Dalton, the
debut MMA event was a dream come true. His debut event was held in Georgetown Fire Hall.
Dalton was enthralled with the success of his event. Dalton said, “In the year I’ve been promoting, that first fight in Georgetown is one of the best fights I have put on so far. It was a lot of action, a lot of back and forth
that really displayed all aspects of the game from the ground game to the standing.”
MMA fighters are also happy with Stellar Fights and the way Dalton arranges these bouts. A professional MMA fighter, Mike Young, has the view that fighters face fewer injuries in Stellar Fights because Dalton has a good sense of
which two opponents should meet in the ring.
