  1. how about....

Dave "Can't think of a good nickname at the moment" Castelli!!

  2. I'm going to have to go with Tao J on this one. The best nick names are ones that you earn or are giving in the gym not ones that you just make up yourself. Even if it is just a joke between you and the guys you train with, look at Frank Trigg "Twinkle Toes", now I don't claim to know the whole story, but my understanding is that is started off just as a joke between him and his training partners.

That's no different than my nick name; Omega, I didn't choose that for myself it was put on me by the guys I trained with in kickboxing and by our head trainer. He said that anytime I was in the ring I was looking for the end and that was what I usually got. He started calling me omega and the next fight I had, he had had that put in as my nickname.

At the end of the day a nick name doesn't help out in the fight, but is good to help people remember you and that's always a good thing. It's not needed though and a lot of good fighter don't have one. If it were me I'd talk to the guys you train with, they know you and your style of fighting and are in the best position to give you one.

    Good luck with your fight!!

  3. FROG!

Everybody who doesn't want to get warts will be afraid to touch you!

  4. Snorglotz

  5. Grizzly?

  6. The Jersey Devil...

what I really wanted to say was "the Jersey a s s h o l e", but I refrained myself because I've been so SCANDALOUS!!!

    :D

    OR

Dave " 's not here " Castelli - the older "heads" will get this one.

  7. Dave "Keyboard Commando" Castelli

You need to earn a nickname, not make one up.

    Dave Castelli is fine.

  8. Dave "drops the soap" Castelli would get people's attention.

  9. Your MMA name should be "Just" Dave Castelli. Sounds catchy

  10. The Tank, Vault, Cave, Cat, Dog, Bulldog, sabrecat, Trex, Hammer,  one two, or go into the octogon as Davegi Castelli and if you do good the public will give you your name.

  11. Wow... I wasn't aware that there was any MMA events going on in the joint for a little bit.

Instead of going with my gut...

I'll just answer this in an honest way. Fighters don't come up with their nicknames. It isn't something you choose, it is something that is given or earned. Usually given by your training partners, your coaches, or your opponent's. Generally a nick name that sticks, or something of the like.

It is viewed as pretty lame in the MMA world to A: Have a nickname already in your first pro fight.  B: To give yourself a nickname.

I think you have other things to worry about then a nickname, and generally that kind of thing comes in time, if it comes.

Last thing you want is some glorified nickname you chose for yourself like "The BodySlamma" and then in your first fight you get destroyed and body slammed repeatedly...

NIcknames or given or earned, to have them any other way is lame.
