  1. MMA  is whatever style or styles you want to use.

It might be better to have one base-style going into MMA.  If you're more comfortable on your feet start with Muay Thai (or boxing, kung fu, whatever).  If you feel better on the ground, take wrestling or BJJ.

I don't know your training history, so I can't be more specific.

  2. Muay Thai is not part of MMA, muay thai is its own style.

MMA Gives out a wide variety of training from street fighting, jiujitsu to kickboxing. its a mixture of all styles into 1.

Muay thai is a thailand style kickboxing that utilizes powerful leg kicks aswell as powerful boxing style puches with insane elbows and knees.

i have seen both styles win against each other and im sorry but i dont think one could be better than the other. your technique and the style you choose is the most effective in combat.

this is one difficult choice your going to take.

well what do you want to do? do you want to basically continue to stay up with the opponent or do you want to take him to the ground as well.

if you want to keep him standing and use your skills not on the mat than i suggest go with muay thai.

if you want to throw punches and kicks and take him to the ground, using your juijitsu, then i suggest you take MMA.

REGARDLESS ON WHAT YOU PICK. YOU WILL MAKE THAT PICK AND USE IT AS THE MOST EFFECTIVE IN COMBAT.

    GOOD LUCK!

  3. in MMA you normally do mauy thai aswell but not as in depth. so generally MMA is better because you od other things aswell.
