I like warrior wear shorts myself...i think they look cool.  But i also have some sprawl and punishment that are sick.

if you get any mma shorts, they wont fall down.

they have a draw string, and 2 overlapping pieces of velcro along with a velcro "fly"....VERY strong velcro, be sure to make sure it is done up when you put them through the wash :)

also, the string tucks inside so it isnt flapping around.

  2. I would recommend sprawl shorts...they're the best I've ever worn because they stay in place and don't move up at the waist while moving around.  The slits on the legs are awesome...they allow complete mobility of the legs when it comes to kicks, knees, and rubber guard and don't restrict you one bit...they're long shorts so they're not all tight and have plenty of room for the cup.  They have the double velcro straps to securely keep the shorts closed, an elastic waistband and internal drawstring to really tighten them if that's not enough...they're quite plain and don't have many fancy designs like Tapout or anything but they get the job done.  This gives a lot of room for sponsor logos though...the Warrior Wear shorts look to be quite similar, but I haven't tried them.

Cage Fighter brand shorts suck...don't waste your money...they're way too tight at the thigh and groin area so you don't have as much mobility for kick and knees.  The only solution is buying them bigger but then they won't fit you at the waist.  Skip em!

Tapout makes really nice shorts, but they're not great...they don't suck, but they aren't the best.  They move up way too much at the waist...you constantly have to pull them down.  The waist is not elastic so you really have to rely on that internal drawstring, which sucks and doesn't hold them in place.

Oh I almost forgot to tell you, the Sprawl shorts have that Gripflex plastic thing on the inseams so they stick to the opponent and the legs don't fall when you have someone in your guard like you mentioned.  you can go to sprawl.tv, mmawarehouse.com, and a few others but whatever brand you go with, you may want to go to the direct websit to buy them.  Good luck, man!
