a WWE guy headlineing a show Brock Lesnar now I have never heard of this guy they say he was a NCAA wresling champion I don,t know but they are trying to compare UFC with boxing give me a break the reason why I am talking about MMA on here is because I hate it and the people who watch it and call it a sport know nothing about boxing and saying that boxing is dead it gets better this Lesnar dude lost his first fight and now there putting him in there because he has recognitiononition these are the same people who said Kimbo Slice is a fake I hope that this is the beginning of the end of MMA . MMA is a cross between street fighting and and old Bruce Lee movies and WWE and nut hugging. Get this they sold 2.2 million dollars worth of tickets MMA will be going for a NFL player next watch what I,m telling you

I don't like MMA fanboys who talk c**p about boxing--it is obvious they have never done any sort of combat sport, let alone boxing, which is a brutal, if sweet, science.

It is just as clear that you don't have any idea what you are talking about when it comes to MMA. Brock Lesner was an NCAA heavyweight champ. If you don't understand the tremendous accomplishment that represents, you are a moron. It is a significantly more prestigious pedigree than Kimbo Slice accumulated knocking out untrained morons on youtube. Since you claim to be a big boxing expert, you surely can see that Kimbo is a really no boxer at all, and boxing is supposed to be his strength. Lesner has been pushed into the deep end quickly because of his name, and the fact that he brings the fan boys running. But he is legitimate. Elite wrestling is an excellent base for MMA.

Former NFL players have tried MMA and got their clocks cleaned. Your overall assessment of the sport show you are nothing but a hater. Your opinions on MMA are no more valid than the opinions of loud mouth MMA fanboys who run down boxing. They are both great sports, and not even as similar as most people think. The boxing techniques that get borrowed from boxing for MMA are significantly changed due to the rules differences, just as the wrestling techniques borrowed to MMA are much different.

First of all.. Brock and Kimbo are popular because of WWE and youtube.. they arent really MMA fighters,,, YET!   They both have a lot to learn about MMA... If you read any interviews.. they openly admit that. These guys are huge and can knock some one out .. they have to learn some submission defense and be well rounded in the arts (Brazilian JiuJitsu Capoeira Choi Kwang-Do, Muay Thai, judo, greco roman, karate, sambo.) or any combination of these. Due to the skills needed in mma (look above).. no one with any knowledge of the sport can compare MMA to boxing . Its 2 different worlds.

As for Kimbo being  the biggest thing in MMA... I think not !!  maybe to the new  casual fan he is.. Fedor..Silva... Nog..Cro Cop. and of course the legendary Gracies are some of the big names.. Lesnar and Slice are brought in to attract new fans !!!   Whats wrong with MMA orgs. trying to expand and make more money?? IF Brock  and Slice want to put in the time and effort to become a top notch MMA fighter then that is their right!

Kimbo is not a FAKE ... he is in the begining of his MMA career.. and has a lot to  learn. After all  he was just a street fighter for all these years!

Lesnar is not a fake !!!  he has incredible wrestling skills and needs time to develope  into a well rounded fighter!

Your right, Kimbo Slice has no skill and beating up on guys that supposedly have MMA backgrounds like Ju Jit su, Karate, kickboxing, Tae bow, and the rest of the MMA worthless styles. They have yet to be up a guy WITH NO SKILL. What does that say about the UFC? You dont need skills to win. But in boxing its a must!

Mixed Martial Arts is a sport, it's a big sport.  Just like any sport there's good and there's bad, Brock Lesnar is a scrub and i dont care much for Kimbo.  If you think these two guys are the best in mma you don't have a d**n clue.

Boxing isn't dead but if mayweather and a short filipino are the best you have then you're in big trouble.  I like how boxing purists make fun of mma but when boxers go into the cage they get jacked up.
