MMR Vaccine?

My Doctors surgery have sent me a letter asking for my son to attend for his MMR but I was sure he had already had it. I called them and they confirmed that he had it march 2007 so the letter was a mistake. March 2007 he had just turned 1, is this the right age for an MMR? When do they have a booster? Also if this is the age they administer MMRs, my daughter should have had hers as she is 1 now. Im confused by all the different vaccines, hes had so many in his little life!

  1. The red books they gave you when your children were born should have a complete record of all the vaccinations.

My daughter just had her pre school boosters (she is 4) and I know that's it now until she is 11.

And yes, the MMR is around 13 months.

  2. The dates of his jabs should be in his red book. Yes, 13 months is about right, my son's just had his.

The details of when they have them all is also in their red book, but I believe the boostere is just before school, so between 3 and 5.

  3. my 4 kids, had theres between 1 and 15 months, depends on the surgery really, they get a pre school booster after they are 4 i think, my son just had his , hes 4 and 3 months, and starts school in september

  4. MMR is between 13 - 18 months old.

  5. You could phone the nurse and ask who needs what.

I'm glad your smart enough to be getting them the MMR lots of children are going to die now since there is a breakout of meseals...
