  1. I've never heard of a word for it, but I've been the same way you are since I was a teenager.  I've decided that I have a solar-powered smile - I'm much happier when the sun is shining.

  2. There is a term for a disorder (& I'm not saying you have this disorder)

it's called SAD ~ stands for Seasonal Affected Disorder ~ Is related to depression ~ Affects people's moods due to fluctuations in the weather.

  3. Yes, the weather can have a great influence on your moods just like it can have an influence on the clothing you wear. For me too, I feel extremely energetic and happy when it's sunny. When it's cloudy I feel a bit more gloomy. Nighttime, a time to relax while gazing at the stars and moon.

Your visual perception has control over your moods. What you see affects your mood. I don't know of any word to describe that, too... It's just how things go. It's natural.

  4. The weather effects the way we feel. I know I like the rain it makes me feel calm. In the winter I get the blues. But I have learned that fluorescent light is helpful in the winter.

there is a song and I think it has a verse that says "sunshine on my shoulder makes me happy."

  5. Absolutely.  This holds true with all people and even other species.  As a teacher, I can tell you that I can guarentee the general temperament of the entire class just by what the weather is.  Even my dogs' attitudes and activity levels change dramatically with the weather, temperature, and season.

I'm not aware of a word that would discribe this.  It's just another way we interact with our environment.
