MORE ABOUT A STORM IN PHOENIX??!?!?!?

Hi. I am 12 yrs old and I live in Glendale. In 1996 there was this huge storm in August. That was like 3 days after I born. I have always wanted to know more about it. I heard the electricity went out and things were flying everywhere. If anyone was in it or someone they know was in it tell me please! If you have pictures thats awesome. My bff who is my neighbor showed me a home vid of the storm before and after so I definately saw the damage. Thanks!

I think you are talking about the storm that hit on August 14, 1996.  I don't remember any of the details since I was not there at the time.  It did caused a lot of problems for a large area.  Here are a couple of links.  The second link to a National Weather Service paper is a little technical, but I think it is a good paper that will help you understand what happen from a meteorologist point of view.
