  1. I just wish they'd check the beam when they do an MOT. I'm sick to death of being blinded by pig ignorant drivers with their badly alligned beams or that they are so blind they need full beam in a built up area!


  2. I don't know if this will help but this is pretty common everywhere.

    Every head lamp upon every motor vehicle shall be located at a height of not more than 54 inches nor less than 24 inches to be measured from the center of such lamp to the level ground upon which the vehicle stands when such vehicle is without a load.

  3. The beam height is checked during an MOT. Depending on the headlamp system you have fitted (British/American, European etc) the 'hot spot' must fall within an upper and lower tolerance band which is appropriate.

    However, most cars these days have a switch on the dashboard which can change the beam height so even if it was ok during the MOT it can be easily adjusted later.
