kawasaki gt550 shaft drive,is there an easy way to line up the shaft toenginen ,i finding it hard,took it out to grease it cant get it to go back

I'm not familiar with your bike, but I've replaced my drive shaft, the U joint and pinion cup in my Honda Valkyrie.

STEP EIGHT: Re-install the final drive unit

Re-install the final drive by inserting the drive shaft into the swingarm. If you make a gentle "stirring" motion with the drive shaft, it will slip into the rear u-joint splines much easier. The bike should still be in neutral.

This worked like a charm, for me.  The swingarm should be elevated slightly above level.
