Question:

MP3 Player not recognized as being connected to...

I have 4 USB 2 ports satisfactorily connected to a printer, a scanner, an external hard drive and an old iRiver MP3 player (powered by AA battery). My problem is when I tried to connect each of two separate new MP3 players (each with internal rechargeable battery), the battery charges up and the player believes it is connected, but my XP computer only recognizes the presence of these MP3 players, but apparently cannot find the proper driver, as I get the device listed in the device manager, but only with a yellow question mark. The "Found New Hardware" wizard can never find the driver and "cannot install this device," even when I try to remove the driver and repeat the process.
