MPEG file question?

are MPEG movie files compatible with Windows Movie Maker?

yes they arre.. if you look in the about under the hellp menu of WMM it MPEG files are in the list

but i find that many of those files dont even work with windows movie maker so if you try to impoirt mpeg files in WMM and there is an error message, convert them to .avi at media-convert.com

Windows movie maker supports these file extensions. This information was found in the help section of WMM.

 Audio files: .aif, .aifc, .aiff .asf, .au, .mp2, .mp3, .mpa, .snd, .wav, and .wma

 Picture files: .bmp, .dib, .emf, .gif, .jfif, .jpe, .jpeg, .jpg, .png, .tif, .tiff, and .wmf

 Video files: .asf, .avi, .m1v, .mp2, .mp2v, .mpe, .mpeg, .mpg, .mpv2, .wm, and .wmv
