Question:

MRI scan and dye injection?

I am getting an MRI scan done on my pelvic area this friday. I'm only 15 years old. I'm getting it done, since I have not had my period yet.. and the results from an ultrasound that I had done said my uterine lining was thicker than it's supposed to be. This could mean I'm possibly having my period, but nothing is coming out.. its staying in. The doctor did say though, it was likely nothing.. and not to worry about it.

I'm just a little unsure about the MRI scan.. ive never had one done before .. and don't really know what to expect. As well.. I am very very scared of needles, and I need to literally be lying down, and held onto as I am getting the needle. After doing some research on the kind of scan I am getting.. I found out that I will need a dye injection so that the scan will be easier to read.

What is the MRI scan like?

What is the injection like ? - where do they put it, does it hurt, what other injections are like it?

Any tips would help!
