http://www.senore.com/Cricket/MS-Dhoni-c2028 fully focussed on Australian series – Cricket News Update
http://www.senore.com/Cricket/India-c750’s skipper MS Dhoni has claimed that his side’s focus will solely be on cricket when they play against Australia in the four match Test series starting from Monday, December 26, 2011.
The Men in Blue have had a successful Test series against http://www.senore.com/Cricket/West-Indies-c760, beating them by 2-0. However, that performance came on the home soil and things will be entirely different when they play on bouncy tracks in Australia.
The Kangaroos look vulnerable at the moment, losing a Test to http://www.senore.com/Cricket/New-Zealand-c754 on home soil for the first time since over 20 years.
Despite the recent record of the Aussies, Dhoni is not taking them lightly and said that his aim will be to give a tough time to the opposition.
The Indian skipper stated, “We have to play to the kind of talent that we have got, worry about things that we have to worry about and work on our strength as well as weaknesses. We are more concerned about where we need to work on, we are not too worried
about what kind of opposition we are playing.”
Commenting on the team combination, Dhoni said, “Zaheer (http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Umesh-Yadav-c94625 can bowl over 140 (kmph). It's also good to have (Virender) Sehwag and Gautam (Gambhir) at the top of the order who understand each other well and bat in tandem.”
India will be looking to improve their record in Australia, as the team has been unable to win a single Test series in nine attempts until now.
However, things might be different this time around, as the http://www.senore.com/Cricket/MJ-Clarke-c1978 led side has not been playing consistent cricket over the past few months.
Some senior members in the side such as http://www.senore.com/Cricket/SE-Marsh-c2470.
Considering these things, the Indian side has a very good opportunity to capitalise and win their first ever series in http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Australia-c746.
However, the current World Champions should not get carried away and play competitive cricket in order to pressurise the opposition.
