http://www.senore.com/Cricket/RA-Jadeja-c2238 in the playoff fixture
against http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Mumbai-c820 Indians.
The Super Kings outclassed the Indians by a handsome margin of 48 runs to sail their way through to the final of the illustrious tournament.
Having scored a mammoth total of 192 runs for the loss of just one wicket in their allotted 20 overs, Dhoni’s men restricted Mumbai to just 144 runs as they were bowled out in the penultimate over of the encounter.
The wicketkeeper/batsman, while expressing his views in the post-match presentation ceremony, thanked the crowd at http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Delhi-c780 for their support.
He said, “We had a decent support last time we played in Delhi. We always tell our players that when you get a start, you need to grab it. Thought we were 10 runs short. Hussey gave us a good start but Raina gave us the edge in the middle of the innings.”
Hussey and Raina scored 86 and 82 runs respectively and remained unbeaten; whereas, Jadeja showed his class with the ball and grabbed three crucial wickets to help his team’s cause.
The Aussie left-hander, who was named as the Player of the Match for his outstanding knock, expressed his satisfaction about Chennai’s team combination. There is a school of thought which believes that Hussey’s retirement from international cricket is premature
but the left-hander thinks otherwise and believes that the Kangaroos can survive without him.
“Lucky we got some fine players down the order, so I know there are some hitters down. Anything can happen in T20 on any day so I go about my business,” the stylish batsman expressed. “ I am sure the Australian team will be fine without me.”
Mumbai still has a chance to qualify for the final as they will play an elimination match against the winner of today’s playoff fixture between Sunrisers http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Rajasthan-c837 Royals, which is also going to be played at Delhi.
