Indian skipper, http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Chinnadupargea-Sachin-c50607 Tendulkar, is ‘under pressure of performance’, but hopes that he will soon strike his long-awaited 100th international ton.
The captain, who is leading his side in the 4-Test high-stakes series against http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Australia-c746, says that the God of Cricket has achieved manifold milestones in his 22-year international career, and that he won’t disappoint his fans this time either.
Talking to the media today, Mahi said, “It's not for the first time that he is close to a milestone. It may happen in this match or next match or next series. I don't think he thinks too much about it. There is pressure of failure and there is pressure of
performance. I think he is under pressure of performance. He never talks about it. Playing for 22 years, he has always been close to milestones.”
The Master Blaster has been struggling for his 100th ton since the http://www.senore.com/Cricket/ICC-World-Cup-2011-c100625 World Cup 2011. He said, “We have always bounced back and Australia will have to keep pressure on our batting and bowling at the same time. So it's just that we have lost the first Test and look to improve in the second.”
About his individual performance, the captain argues that he cannot change his batting techniques for a series, avowing that he will http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Adrian-Roger-Kirshaw-Pierson-c42135 to his natural game and break through the odds.
With 65 Tests, 196 ODI and 28 T20I matches to his credit along with a World Cup triumph and an ICC T20I World victory, Dhoni feels honoured to be the second most successful captain in the history of India cricket.
