for some young cricketers to cement their places in the national team.
"Virat did a tremendous job with a young side. Now he will be leading the team to Zimbabwe where it will be a good exposure for the new set of bowlers who are not as experienced as the current crop. If they do well, our bench strength
will only increase," the skipper mentioned.
Dhoni returned to the Indian team in the final of the tournament and immediately made a huge impact by scoring a match-winning 45 off merely 52 balls.
While commenting on the consistent performances of Sharma in the tri-nation tournament, the wicketkeeper/batsman was all praise for him and said that the right-hander played with a lot of confidence in difficult circumstances.
However, Dhoni is not entirely happy with the showing of the middle-order batsmen.
He added, "Rohit has been brilliant and looked very confident from the start. It's always good to see him score runs. It helps the middle-order when he scores but some of the shot selections weren't great.”
