MS Dhoni says adapting to new rules will be a challenge – Cricket news
Indian skipper http://www.senore.com/Cricket/MS-Dhoni-c2028 has said that adapting to the new ODI rules will be the biggest challenge for his side in the Champions Trophy, commencing in England on June 6, 2013.
“There are a few challenges like the new ODI rules and we will be playing outside the subcontinent for the first time under the new rules,” Dhoni said in http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Mumbai-c820 ahead of the team's departure for England.
According to the new ODI rules, which were implemented in January this year, the fielding side cannot allow more than four fielders outside the 30-yard circle at any stage of the innings, and the three Powerplays will have to be completed by the 40th over.

“We will have to adjust to the new rule of five fielders being inside (the circle), the length they need to bowl, how quickly they adapt to the wicket, which areas to bowl,” he added further.
Dhoni and company left for England on Tuesday to play in the six-team esteemed one-day tournament.
In the past, the Men in Blue have struggled in the international tournaments staged immediately after the Indian T20 league, particularly due to fitness and acclimatisation issues. However, Dhoni said that every member of his team was completely fit.
“With the kind of fitness level that is going around right now, each and every member is looking fit,” Dhoni said. “All of them have played good cricket in the IPL or before the IPL (And) most of them are in very good touch.”
The reigning world champions are scheduled to play two warm up matches before their opening Champions Trophy fixture against http://www.senore.com/Cricket/South-Africa-c757 on June 6. Dhoni said that with two warm-up fixtures prior to the tournament, they would have enough time to acclimatise
to the English conditions and get used to the new rules.
“The good thing is we have two practice matches leading up to the tournament. We also have enough time before the first game, so there is enough time to adjust,” the Ranchi wicketkeeper batsman went on to add.
