MS Dhoni to expose youngsters in first tour match today – Cricket News Update

Talking to the media today, the skipper said, “We would like to give our youngsters an opportunity of course. Some of us haven't played much cricket over here. It's slightly different, so we will try to make the most of it.”
Mahi reiterated his desire to win today’s match as he wants to start the tour on a winning note and then build up on this momentum. He opines that the opening fixture is always important as it sets the mode for the rest of the series.
He told, “The first game is always important; if you have momentum on your side it always builds up. You don't really want to lag too much behind right from the very start, so a good start is crucial."
The leader has made it clear to his crew that no excuse for bad performance will be accepted afterwards as they have arrived at the venues at least two weeks earlier and have had enough time to practice.
The captain is confident of the team’s senior players who have immense experience of the Kangaroo pitches, and hopes that the big guns will surely help win the series.
He stated, “Most of the batsmen have played there before. We are hoping we will do well there. Even last time (in the 2007-08 series) we had a very good chance and we did really perform well.”
