MS Dhoni urges his side to keep things simple - Cricket News Update
After a winless tour of England this summer, http://www.senore.com/Cricket/MS-Dhoni-c2028 and his Men in Blue are all set to host the English side at home in a five-match One day International series and a one off T20 international. The home skipper has urged his side to keep things
simple, going into the limited-over series.
In the pre-match media conference on the eve of the opening ODI of the five-match series, the once calm and cool but today’s bruised and battered MS Dhoni who is fresh from England and Champions League defeats, was quite positive about his team’s performance
at home.
"We should keep things simple,” Dhoni advised his players at the press conference on Thursday eve.
“During the tour of http://www.senore.com/Cricket/England-c56013, performance of the batsmen was impressive. Here we have a different bowling department and it's an opportunity for them to do well in home conditions,” the Indian skipper added further.
The series opener will be played at the Rajiv Gandhi International stadium of Hyderabad, on Friday, October 14.
Whilst the first choice opening duo of http://www.senore.com/Cricket/G-Gambhir-c1447 has recovered from the concussion he had sustained during England
tour, and is back.
When asked about the composition of the Indian batting order, the home skipper said that they have not yet decided the batting order.
"We have to analyse the situation as Parthiv (Patel) and Ajinkya (Rahane) have done well in England. Gautam has batted at No 3 at times but only when both Sachin (Tendulkar) and http://www.senore.com/Cricket/V-Sehwag-c2739) have been available. But again he has also performed
well as opener. So we will have to take a call on that also," said Dhoni.
Replying to a query regarding the http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Hyderabad-c792 pitch, Dhoni said that it wasn't a typical Uppal deck and that he would plan a game strategy and finalize the playing XI after observing the wicket on Friday morning.

"It's a relaid track. Doesn't seem like it is as flat as you get the wickets here,” said Dhoni. “That's why we have decided to have a look at the wicket tomorrow and decide on the XI."
The 30-year-old wicketkeeper batsman from Ranchi said that though his side has played a lot of IPL at the Hyderabad ground but this would be a different ball game and the side that will play well on the day will win the match.
