MS Dhoni wants his team to be more consistent - Cricket News Update
Indian captain, http://www.senore.com/Cricket/India-c750 has to be more consistent, if they want to be amongst the top teams of the world.
http://www.senore.com/Cricket/England-c56013 defeated India by an emphatic margin of an innings and 242 runs at Edgbaston in the third Test of the series and took an unassailable lead of 3-0 in the four-match series.
The series between India and England was a much awaited series in the world of cricket as the two teams are ranked amongst the top three teams of Test cricket. However, this series has turned out to be an anti-climax and the Men in Blue
have failed to give any sort of a competition to http://www.senore.com/Cricket/AJ-Strauss-c964 and company.
Dhoni is not too disappointed at losing the top spot in Test cricket, but he feels that India should have performed much better and said that his team needs to be more consistent. However, he requested the cricket fans not to forget the
past performances of the Indians just because of the loss against England.
The Indian captain said, "I have always stressed about playing consistent cricket. Being number 1 or not is not of much importance. But as a unit you need to play consistent cricket. Once you are at the top, it`s like a Cat & Mouse game
where other teams are trying to catch up with you. This is the first series that we have lost in the last two and half years."
Indian batting is considered as one of the best in the business in the presence of some extra-ordinary players like http://www.senore.com/Cricket/VVS-Laxman-c2772. But the cricket analysts have slammed the senior batsmen for letting their
team down in the most important series.
However, Dhoni said that all of them are still quality players and they have the potential to bounce back.
“As far as the age is concerned, they (Dravid, Tendulkar, Laxman) are the best in the world and have the ability to bounce back," said Dhoni.
