MS Word Background Help?

Im trying to print up a word document with a bacground but the background dosen't show up. How do i get the background to show up. Please have the directions be step by step.

The workaround is to use an image as a watermark.

Prepare your image, then Click on Format, Background, and choose Printed Watermark.

Select Picture Watermark and select the picture, and select washout (or not)

'Auto' will stretch the image to the size of the text area.
