MSC The Orchestra???

Hi,

I was looking up travel ideas for

Spring Break and I came across

a GREAT deal... its 550 for an adult

but children 17 and under are free???

(I know that the deal is 1 adult = 1 free

child and each additional child after the

adults are $199)

Ive went on many cruises and I was

just wondering why the rates are so cheap?

Last spring break I went on a cruise and the

cost was a meir 1000 however it was grand princess.

But it was over the exact same dates? This fall for my

birthday we are going on a Royal Caribbean cruise and

it was around 840. And that rate was during hurricane season.

Anyways back on track...

Its a new ship called The Orchestra.

The line is called MSC.

It leaves March 28th 2009

Disembarkation is out of Fort Lauderdale

and calls to Cayo Levantado (Samanà - D.R.),

Philipsburg,St. Maarten, St. John's,Antigua,

Nassau,Bahamas, Then returning to FFL April 4th.

Its suppose to be an italian fleet.

I was wondering has anyone been on this ship?

Is this deal too good to be true?

Is there any catch?

Is MSC a representable Cruise line?

What are your general reviews on the ship?

ANY HELP WOULD BE WONDERFUL!

I'm traveling with my bf, my friend, my mom and I.

I definitely want this to be an unforgettable experience.

Thanks for everything =]

Some times the website doesn't serve any justice ya know.

I just wanted to see some reviews before I book away.

P.S the pictures Ive seen of the boat, are stunning the

ship is absolutely beautiful!

Thanks for reading and helping me out with this LOONNNG question..

  1. On MSC, children 17 and under sail free, but there does need to be 2 full paid adult fares in each stateroom.  The ships are nice.  They are a European line so the ships and the food tend to be of European flavor.  As long as that doesn't bother you, they offer great value.  As you say, they have very nice ships, and stop at wonderful ports.  I hope this helps.

  2. No one has sailed on The Orchestra yet because she is still being built.  Her first cruise will be late December.  Yes MSC is a very nice cruise line and the children go free is true and is only for a limited time.

We have an agent going on her very first voyage in January and will have a first hand review then.

We are cruise only travel agents with over 20 years of experience in sailing and selling.

Hope we have answered your questions.

  3. I'm italian , as MSC Cruise Company and I can tell you that this company is a very good one.

I've been twice on a MSC cruise and always had wonderful trips!

The Orchestra is not a new ship ( it's 2 years old, but it has always travelled around the Mediterranea Sea), but it's one of the last ship produced by MSC.

So it's a new generation cruise, with all the amenities that you like and with very comfortable suites!

Have a good time on it!!!!
