  1. I work for a MSF course and I can't tell you how many times people fail and have to look at a shiny new bike they can't ride legally.

Do the course first, then get the bike and proper gear.

  2. If you know how to ride already & you know exactly what you want....go ahead and get it.  Just don't ride it on the public roadway until you take the MSF class and get your M/C license.

I bought my bike before I took the class....I took it out and rode before I had my "M" class or registration.....but then again, I'm a cop so I can get away with that :)

  3. Take the course first.

  4. Depends on the course, some allow you to use your bike and some you have to use their bike. Might as well just take the course first, IMO. It'll also save on insurance, so if you haven't taken the course your first months insurance might be more before its compensated later by taking the course.

  5. Take the MSF class first. That + your permit will usually equal your motorcycle road test.
