Question:

MTG: Does Wilt-Leaf Leige come back into play after dying or what?

It says it can come back into play if it gets discarded by an opponent's spell or ability, which I assume also means creature attacks. If an opponents creature kills Wilt-Leaf, will it come back?

  1. no unless the opponents ability destroyes it

  2. Not if they attack you and you block a creaturs atack is not a ability or spell.

  3. Unfortunately, no. The card's ability refers to it being discarded from your hand directly into the graveyard.

I'm afraid you may have gotten the VERY old terminology of "discarding" confused with the more modern term "dying" to combat damage or a removal spell.

Therefore, if your Wilt-Leaf Liege dies when it attacks, blocks, or is targeted by a spell that will kill it, it does not come back into play. But if you are holding it in your hand and an opponent somehow causes you to discard it to the graveyard (via a spell or creature ability), it will come into play instead.
