I attack with llanowar Elves. My opponent declares a Grizzly Bears as a blocker. I cast shock on Grizzly Bears.

Does the Elves get through for 1 point of damage or is it still considered blocked even though Grizzly Bears is rotting in the graveyard?

  1. Unless you gave your Llanowar Elves trample, it will not deal any damage to the opponent. Whenever a creature is blocked, it stays blocked until the end of combat even if the blocker is killed.

The appropriate sections from the Comprehensive Rules:

309.2f An attacking creature with one or more creatures declared as blockers for it becomes a

blocked creature; one with no blockers becomes an unblocked creature. This remains unchanged

until the creature is removed from combat or the combat phase ends, whichever comes first.

310.2c A blocked creature will assign combat damage, divided as its controller chooses, to the

creatures blocking it. If no creatures are currently blocking it (if, for example, they were

destroyed or removed from combat), it will assign no combat damage.

  2. since you casted a instant mid turn after a blocker was declared.

two things can/will happen one the attack or battle phase is restarted.

wich means your opponent can re assign blockers if they can not assign a block then you get a direct attack.

    full damage.
