MTL night clubs - what's the hot place to be on a Sat. Nite?

I'm heading to Montreal in a couple of weeks for my friend's bachalor party and want to hit up a large club that has good hip/hop music and lots of people. I'm not sure what's the "IT" spot right now. We are thinking of - Orchid, Lite Ultraclub, 737. I'd appreciate any informed thoughts! THX!

Scotty is referrning to Crescent Street and either Bishop or MacKay. Montrealers think of them as "east" of Guy, not north, but I think technically they may be north.

If your looking for happening bars on the weekends try "Le Rouge" on Prince Arthur and St-Laurent

if you're a bunch of guys try to get in early as they like to let in groups with hot girls. The music there isn't very hip hop though.

If you want a really packed crowd with younguns try Opera

Opera is huge and the music is a mix, the place gets pretty packed.

mostly dance/ rnb style I guess. A place everyone needs to check out alt least once.

oh for the love of god don't dress up in corny bachelor party outfits or most of the bars i've listed and you've listed won't let you in. Also I think 737 has a dress code. I haven't been to any bars you've listed but the ones I've listed are usually packed after 11:00 on weekends. for rouge and opera you can call and try to reserve sofas if your willing to buy a few bottles, not sure about 1234.

I can't remember the names very well - but there were like 2 streets full of great clubs.  I stayed on Rue Guy and it was like 2 streets north of that....  Sorry I cant remember better - but as you can see i was boozin myself.

the street that u wanna go on is called "Crescent" (sorry about the spelling) i'm almost always at Light i love it there but sum ppl dont cause they say that they play to much techno 737 is fun but make sure u dress nice -i've never been to Orchid no matter where u go dress nice or else they won't let u in...im not saying that u need to put a tuxedo on but just dress nice... nice clean shirt no baggy jeans or pants and no running shoes and call them during the day (the day that ur going) or go to their website for information on geustlist like that u can get in for free

just walk around crescent street or st laurent/st denis/st hubert....

all clubs are jammin on a sat. night, especially in the summer
