MTX jackhammer??

Hi I am thinking about getting one, are there any other subs anyone else would recommend??

Ahahaa.. To clear up some confusion.. Are you talking about the 22" Monstrosity, or the new line of Jackhammers that are 10", 12" and 15"?? If you are talking about the REAL Jackhammer I would pass if I was you unless you have about 10grand to drop into it.

You would need a few batteries, about 3-5 Amplifiers (depending on what you get), a HO Alternator, and Plexi-Glass windows. You would seriously have to look into building a box that would make it effective enough to make people who stand next to your car throw up. So... I mean, by all means go for it if it's what you want... lol.. but if you are talking about the new like of smaller ones, they seem pretty nice.

Personally On My Opionion The MTX ''Wackhammer'' Sucks No Offence! But Really The Best 4 Brands Are: DC Sound Lab, TC Sounds,Fi.Audio,& RE.Audio.

If You Buy One 18'' Woofer From Anyone Of Those Brands Above (Fully Powered!) It Would Kill Your Car & The ''Wackhammer!''. (Espically The 18'' Fi.BTL!)

The 18'' Kicker Solo X Will Also Kill The Wackhammer. The Solo X Is 10000 Peak & 5000 Rms. Its Only 1549.99 For The Dual 2 Ohm Or Dual 4 Ohm. (Way Cheaper Than Jackhammer!)

But Lets Get To The Jackhammer. Its Allmost 10 Stacks & Its Not As Loud As The Woofers Listed Above. But I Cant Make You Change Your Mind But If You Want The Wackhammer Heres The Best Mono Amp That Will Power The Jackhammer. Oh Yea I Dont Really Have Nothing Against MTX Butt I Heard Bad Comments About Them. But I Have Never Even Heard Or Saw One Bad Comment On Fi.Audio. You Should Look Into It!

22' Jackhammer = Gimmick.  Spend the money on a couple smaller, high quality subs.  It will sound louder, better, and you won't have to take up the entire rear of your vehicle.

Look into the new 08' Kickers. They hit hard, and quality is just as good as MTX. Stay away from Xplodes

Stick to MTX, Kicker, Fosgates if you want to get respect :)

Just youtube different brands and see what they got and if thats what will work for you.

I wouldn't recommend that one. That's an insane 22 inch pure subwoofer which is 2 foot tall just for the sub itself that handles 5,000 RMS. It's prolly the most powerful sub money can buy. The amps and batteries alone to support the output of this sub is costly.
