MTX jackhammers 10", or Kicker Comps 10"? which do you recommend?

I was listening to them in store and the jackhammer seems to get much more Thump, but what are your opinions?

MTX drivers are better.  The voice coils are of better (finer guage) coil wire and therefore have more windings.  This results in better handling of transient peaks and makes the overall driver capability better in the way of cone throw (aka punch power) and power surges that go beyond the rating of the driver, which makes them a little harder to blow out.  I have been told that some MTX have voice coils (12's & 15's) are imported from Norway and that some are manufactured parallel with some of the better drivers made.  That is probably why they cost a bit more.  I do agree with the other guy about Rockford-Fosgate. Sound tests prove these are better than the two you asked about.  Not only that, but the specifications prove it so.  They dont do buy one get one free on THE REAL professional sound equipment. A/B them next to each other...you will hear quite a difference!
