MUCUS PLUG? ? is it or isnt it?

i waqs just wondoring, last nite wen i went to the toilet i noticed a browny yellowish wet stain on my knickers, sorry for detail. ive had normal discharge, but just wondored if this could be my show? ive been having braxton hicks and syptoms. but just wanted to see if anyone else had ,had this? x

the show is usually more solid than a stain of sorts - and is usually either clear, creamy or brownish-pink. It may be a slight part has broken away, but it doesn't really sound like it. It could be a sign of infection though, so i'd ask your midwife.

You're a bit early for this anyway - about 32-33 weeks? What other symptoms have you had as maybe you should be concerned about pre-term labour?

if your close to birth then possible it is..i had it  so its normal

It is just discharge.  I am a medical assistant and 37 weeks pregnant.  I have had this for the last few months.  It is all normal.  Discharge can be white, yellowish, or a brownish old blood color.  If it has a fowl smell you need to go and get it checked out at the doctor it could be a yeast infection or something else.  The mucus plug is kind of clumpy and usually comes out in parts.  It looks like boogers if you ask me.  TMI.  It can be different colors.  It usually falls out in the last few weeks of pregnancy the last month.  But it dont always fall out.  I am dialated to a 2 and have not lost mine yet and I am being induced this Wednesday.  Some dont lose it til they are in labor and in the hospital.  But if you lose it and you dialate it can always grow back.  It is normal to have braxton hicks contractions too.  If you have a bloody show it is usually a pink or a red blood.  Some may see a old brown blood color but usually it is just discharge.  Go see the doctor after 36 weeks he/she should check you weekly.  If your water breaks then you know to for sure get to the hospital.  Good luck and congrats.

yes, my plug fell out the night before i delivered my little one.

6 p.m one Sat evening it fell out, i started have small contractions and ended up in the hospital. they sent me home because I was only dialated to a 1.

9 p.m. at home again I went into full blown contractions, called the doc, she told me to be in her office at 8 the next morning.

doctors office- dialated to2-she sent me straight to the hospital.

I had my daughter that Sun evening at 6 p.m

I would just give your doctor a call it sounds like bloody show to me or it could be the mucus plug better safe than sorry !

im due the day after you and have been havin a show on and of the past few weeks but was worried and rang my midwife and they took me in to cheek me ova x

hiya, yyes that defiantely sounds like your show, i had a lil bit of blood in mine but mainly was brownish then few hours later i started havin diarrea then 12 hours later ihad my lil boy
